Teri MacDonald-Cadieux
ASA AC Delco Series Driver

Teri MacDonald-Cadieux

During the 2000 racing season, Teri competed in selected ASA AC Delco series races. She was only the sixth female to ever take the green flag in ASA’s 32-year history. The ASA series has produced drivers and champions like Mark Martin, Alan Kulwicki, Rusty Wallace, Darrell Waltrip, and Johnny Benson to name just a few. Teri plans to compete for the "Rookie of the year" award in 2001. Her brother Randy won this award in 1993.

In 1998, Teri was the highest placing female in all professional race car series’ across North America. This includes females competing in the point’s race in series such as NASCAR, IHRA, NHRA, PSC, Pro-Rally, SCCA Pro racing and CASCAR.

Racing in 1997, Teri suffered a major accident at Road Atlanta. After being hit, her car crashed into a wall and was destroyed, leaving Teri with a broken neck. (C-2 vertebrae - three places). She wore a halo and body cast, followed by a neck brace. Through much prayer, God’s grace and blessing, she was miraculously healed and back driving her PPG Pace car just 12 weeks later.

Teri has successfully competed in professional road racing since 1990, only during 1999 did she begin racing on ovals. Two years prior to taking her career to the USA, she became the highest-ranked female in ASN Canada FIA professional road racing history. In 1995 her team finished 2nd in the championship. Teri has also received "Most Improved Driver" and "Rookie of the Year" awards.

Teri was part of CART’s (Indycar) prestigious PPG Pace car team from 1990 to 1999. During race weekends, she would provide guests with thrilling high-speed laps around the track, then drive the pace car during various races.

THE TV HOST:

Teri will host Disney’s "Car Ready" television series. During each of the 52 two-minute episodes, she will demystify the automobile. Over 70 networks (ABC,NBC,CBS,& FOX) will air the series in conjunction with their news broadcasts. In future, Teri sets her sights on working with various networks that broadcast auto racing. She hopes to report from the pits, help commentate from the booth or host a show.

THE EDUCATOR:

During 1999, NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) and AAA certified Teri as a child safety seat inspector. She is able to inspect, correct and educate others regarding the proper installation of child seats.

Since 1994, Teri has educated women and men on the importance of vehicle maintenance and safe driving. Even after educating some 8,000 people, Teri still today, enjoys conducting these car care service clinics.

With a BS in International Business, an AA in Marketing and half an MBA, Terry is well educated in business and marketing.

THE ROLL MODEL:

Teri continues to set the pace as a role model for young people. She’s involved with many youth programs and organizations, giving short talks on why kids should stay away from harmful substances, get an education and live clean healthy lives. Teri works with Campus Crusade for Christ, Athletes in Action, and Freedom Village USA, speaking across the country.

THE PROMOTER:

Teri’s creative and innovative marketing endeavors have earned their way into corporations gaining their trust and support. With Teri's promotional background, she is able to capture the media's attention and produce positive exposure for her team and sponsors. She works hard on marketing herself and giving her sponsors the best exposure possible.

THE JOURNALIST:

Teri’s interest and knowledge of the automobile has positioned her well as a free-lance journalist and speaker for various newspapers, magazines and television shows.
