Belinda Endress
ALMS and GT1 Driver

Belinda Endress Belinda Endress, a California model, former movie stunt person and professional wrestler, loves "low to the ground, fast" activities like horse racing, motorcycle racing, and, especially, auto racing. "I always had the knack and the will to drive fast. I always knew I wanted to drive professionally but I never knew I'd be good at it," she said.

In 1994, Belinda had a chance to find out just how good she could be. She started in autocross, driving her own Camaro in SCCA Solo II. She won the first race she entered and, the next year, took the Solo II F Stock ladies division National Championship.

Belinda began Club racing in earnest in 1997, at tracks up and down the West coast. She was undefeated in Cal Club Solo II F Stock competition for the season. She even won the 'Men's Overall' regional championship as well as second place in the Trophy Dash.

WGGTS...
In 1999, Belinda got her first taste of professional wheel to wheel racing in the Women's Global GT Series, moving up in the rankings as her experience grew. She finished eighth in the point standings despite missing the feature in the series opener. In her fourth race, in September at Road Atlanta, she missed victory by only .487 of a second, finishing in the runner-up spot behind 25-year motorsports veteran Divina Galica.

For her efforts, Belinda was awarded the 'Most Improved Driver of the Year' award. "When you look at her performance progress over the season, her qualifying times and racing skills have improved dramatically," Lyn St. James said of Belinda. "She has done an outstanding job of showing she has some great talent from where she started." Belinda has broad experience in promotions and marketing, specializing in sports and television. She also volunteers her time to work with street kids and various Christian organizations.

guidance from the Word...
She believes that the Lord will improve her life if she dedicates it to Him. "Racing is a selfish sport. With guidance from the Word, practicing a lot of self-discipline, determination and focus to succeed in racing has its benefits, as it transfers over into all other aspects of your life."

Xtreme Island Designs, creators of Hawaiian style shirts, dresses, shorts and tops, is Belinda's major sponsor for the six race 2000 season of the Women's Global GT Series.
